ChefTec Product Provides State-of-the Art
Recipe and Menu Costing and Inventory Control Software
BOULDER, Colo, November 1, 1999 — Culinary Software Services Inc., the developer of the award winning ChefTec Software package announced today that it has signed a contract to install its cutting edge inventory control, recipe and menu costing software solution in over 140 Chartwells operations throughout the United States.
"Coming in conjunction with similar roll-outs of ChefTec in corporate, chain-wide situations, we believe this clearly demonstrates that we are providing the kind of flexible, function packed software that will meet the needs of today's foodservice marketplace," commented Brian Bennett, president and co-founder of Culinary Software Services. "From local restaurants to those with national reputations, the feedback from our customers is that ChefTec is fulfilling their every need when it comes to budget and inventory decisions."
Chartwells, a division of the Compass Group of contract foodservice operations, provides dining services to public and private educational institutions ranging from K-12 to colleges and universities. Culinary Software Services will be providing customized versions of ChefTec to each operation, preloaded with over 650 standardized recipes from the Chartwells corporate office. Then, using ChefTec's ability to save recipes in HTML, the entire Chartwells group will be able to update information via email or their corporate website.
ChefTec and its sister product, ChefTec Plus, were the first 32-bit, Windows 98/95/2000 compatible recipe costing and inventory control products on the market. ChefTec PDA works with the Palm III from 3Comr and allows users to take their personal digital assistant throughout their operation, entering inventory counts, and then instantly upload the physical counts into ChefTec on their desktop.
