CorTec Uses Internet To Contact ChefTec

Culinary Software Services announces new software program

BOULDER, Colo. - Jan. 3, 2001— Culinary Software Services (CSS), Inc., maker of ChefTec™ software, announced today a new software program, CorTec™, specifically designed for foodservice corporations to administer food costing and inventory control at remote sites.

CorTec uses internet technology to communicate between corporate headquarters and copies of ChefTec Client software installed in various foodservice operations. CorTec is ideally suited for foodservice environments where standardized recipe writing and central purchasing are involved. For operations where ChefTec software is already deployed, it will be a simple configuration change to make them clients of CorTec.

"There is a great deal of flexibility in how each foodservice corporation can configure CorTec to work for their specific situation," said Brian Bennett, President of Culinary Software Services. CorTec will be available in the first quarter of 2001.
