Marriott International Distributes Third Update of ChefTec

Marriott International Updates all Operations Worldwide

BOULDER, Colo. - Sept. 25, 2001 — Marriott International begins the third-release-rollout of ChefTec updates to all locations worldwide. Since 1999 Marriott International has been using ChefTec in its dining areas for back office management. By using ChefTec, corporate recipes can be easily disseminated to Executive Chefs in electronic format.

"With every ChefTec update, we enable our hotels to benefit from hundreds of recipes developed by our chef's throughout the world. This tool allows us the freedom of creativity, sharing our expertise and ideas, while maintaining the integrity of authentic and consistent quality food preparations," says Paul Gotzman, Sr. Director of Standards and Deployment for Marriott International.

The ChefTec system includes nearly 600 four-color photos displaying the Marriott International plated recipes.
