BOULDER, Colo., April 13, 2015 -- Culinary Software Services, the leading provider of back-of-the-house technology for the foodservice industry, announces
the immediate availability of requisitioning on mobile devices as an add-on feature of ChefTec Mobile Solutions xt5.
ChefTec's Requisitioning Module (REQ), part of its Mobile Solutions suite of products, allows users to do requisitioning on a tablet or other hand-held device. This portable function harnesses Wi-Fi technology to communicate information between a mobile device and a desktop computer running ChefTec xt5.
Businesses at all levels of the foodservice supply chain have begun to integrate ordering and inventory tracking on mobile devices to enhance productivity and cut costs. According to Food Logistics Magazine, warehouses have updated their delivery and tracking systems to better serve purchasers and improve operating efficiencies. Now, with the power of the ChefTec Mobile Solutions Requisitioning Module, foodservice operations with a commissary or central purchasing location can also easily order and transfer inventory to and from the appropriate internal profit centers, all from a remote location.
According to Tony Alvizu, Sales Manager at Culinary Software Services,"the addition of this mobile module makes food requisition and transfer within an operation more streamlined. It can help larger operations achieve an even greater return on investment."
The Requisitioning Module is available now. ChefTec Mobile Solutions and this new module will be demonstrated at booth #222, at the Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC), June 15-18, at the Austin Convention Center in Austin, TX. It will also be demonstrated in August at the Western Foodservice & Hospitality Expo in Los Angeles (booth #1212).
